Made from pure silver, the silver pen electrode fits our plating pen and is ideal for silver pen plating.
Our Silver Rod Electrode has been designed to fit our Electrode Ring for different sized beakers. Silver electrodes are used with Silver Tank Plating Solution – HS.
Silver Rod Electrodes are available in two different diameters: 6 mm and 8 mm.
8mm electrodes are recommended where the solution is going to be heavily loaded or used continually.
They also put less oxidative stress on the solution and offer a cost saving due to less wastage.

Carbon electrodes should be used for one plating process only as they absorb plating solutions over time.
The Short Platinum Electrode fits both our rectifier-driven and battery powered plating pens. When used with our Short Swab it allows you to quickly pen plate larger surface areas on items such as rings, pendants and small pieces of silver ware.
This cyanide free silver plating kit is ideal for bright silver layers of up to 10 microns thickness. The price of the kit includes 1 Litre of our Silver Tank Plating Solution HS. The advantages of this Silver Tank Plating Kit – HS process are:
– High speed silver plating
– Long life plating solution – silver replenished from electrodes.
Scaling up or down; you can scale the volume of your kit up or down by swapping in different volumes of our plating beakers. You can also switch easily between our different plating solutions, as the Spa Plating tank plating process is very similar across all of our tanks plating solutions.
If you want to scale down the volume of the 1 litre kit to a 500ml kit for example, these are the core items you will need to change;

This battery powered gold and silver pen plating kit is ideal for getting started with selective gold and silver plating. It’s great for selective plating of jewellery, electronic repairs, dental work and coins.
Because the battery powered gold and silver pen plating kit is powered by replaceable batteries, it’s completely portable and easy to store.
This kit includes a crocodile clip protector which should be slipped over the crocodile clip between uses. This prevents the crocodile clip touching the battery pen electrode and running down the batteries while the pen is in storage. Please click on the ‘Examples’ tag for guidance on this.
