10th November 2011 - TV appearance on Channel 4, 8.00pm -  Sarah Beeny’s ‘Restoration Nightmares’

Spa Plating’s Training Manager for the North of England, Lee Foster has made a big impression on Channel 4‘s Restoration Nightmares recently, by gold plating a pair of Victorian bath taps for the show’s presenter, Sarah Beeny.
Using Spa Plating’s gold plating solution and equipment, Lee showed how straightforward it was to ‘up-cycle’ bathroom furniture. According to Sarah, watching Lee work his magic was “...as amazing as Harry Potter”.
Sarah and her husband certainly seemed to be very impressed with the results, as they sat back at the end of the programme in their ‘His & Hers’ baths, admiring Lee’s gleaming gold bathroom furniture. Summing up, they both agreed that it was well worth gold plating their old chrome taps, as they’d saved themselves a lot of time and money and had some beautiful bathroom furniture into the bargain. Well done Lee!

Cyanide content of brush plating solutions: Spa Plating's policy.
We only supply a limited number of solutions containing cyanide and these are confined to our gold plating solutions (not including K-Gold or K-Gold Bright which are cyanide free). However, the level of cyanide in our solutions is not enough to class them as toxic or poisonous. Please be aware that some plating solutions from other suppliers contain very high levels of cyanide and should be handled with extreme caution.
As stated below; please do not mix any of Spa Plating's solutions with other suppliers solutions.

2nd June 2011 Announcement
Some of our solutions have been designed to be mixed. Please only mix Spa Plating's solutions and do not mix with other suppliers solutions; if our solutions are mixed with other suppliers' solutions, this may give rise to undesirable reaction products!
2nd June 2011 Announcement
It has come to our attention that some other suppliers are passing their solutions off as identical or similar to Spa Plating's solution. We strongly refute this and further claim that our solutions are unique to us. We do not supply any solutions that are classified as toxic or corrosive for example.
