Gold Flash A number of plating processes require
a thin undercoat of gold prior to subsequent plating. An example of this
is when silver plating onto stainless steel, nickel and its alloys. In
response to requests from our customers, we have developed a low-cost,
100% soft gold that plates a thin undercoat of gold which makes an ideal
key for subsequent plated layers; this is know in the trade as a flash
layer. Please note that this solution should only be used as an
undercoat; the plated layer is too soft and thin for any other
application.A calculator to estimate the amount of solution to use is available by clicking HERE
