Purified Copper Concentrate
Purified, filtered and prepared for reliable copper electroforming
We supply purified copper sulphate as a concentrate containing the required amount of copper to produce, once diluted, a high-quality copper electroforming or plating solution.
The dilution factor is 800ml to 1 litre and 4 litres to 5 litres.
Prepared specifically for electroforming and plating applications, this product is intended for users who wish to maintain full control over their electrolyte formulation, whether using their own additives or products from other suppliers.
The concentrate contains no sulphuric acid, allowing users to adjust acidity according to their own process requirements. Many modern copper electroforming and plating systems operate effectively at moderate acid concentrations, giving users flexibility when preparing their electrolyte.
Providing the copper component separately also makes it easier for users to prepare solutions using acids that are readily obtainable within local regulations.
Because the concentrate contains no sulphuric acid or hazardous additives, it is not classified as dangerous goods for transport, allowing straightforward worldwide shipping.
To ensure consistent performance, the solution is triple-filtered and carbon-treated to remove both solid particles and dissolved organic contaminants. Chloride levels are carefully monitored to ensure the solution meets electroplating requirements (see the Tech Specs tab for details).

High-purity copper sulphate solution prepared specifically for electroforming and plating applications
This purified copper sulphate solution provides a clean and controlled copper source for preparing electroforming and copper plating electrolytes.
The solution contains the required copper content to produce, once diluted, a working copper plating or electroforming electrolyte. It is intended for users who wish to formulate or maintain their own electrolyte chemistry, whether using proprietary additives or systems from other suppliers.
The product contains no sulphuric acid, allowing users to adjust acidity according to their own process requirements. Many modern copper electroforming and plating systems operate effectively at moderate acid concentrations (pH 2 or below), giving users flexibility when preparing their electrolyte.
Shipping and Handling
Because the solution contains no sulphuric acid, it is not classified as dangerous goods for transport. This allows the product to be shipped easily and economically to customers worldwide.
Purification and Processing
To ensure consistent plating performance, the solution undergoes a controlled purification process designed to minimise contaminants that can interfere with plating chemistry.
The solution is:
-
Triple-filtered to remove particulate contamination
-
Carbon-treated to remove dissolved organic impurities
-
Prepared using purified water
-
Checked for chloride content appropriate for copper plating systems
This purification process helps ensure compatibility with modern copper plating additive systems by minimising background organic contamination.

Why Use a Purified Copper Sulphate?
The quality of the base electrolyte has a direct influence on plating behaviour, including additive performance, deposit quality and long-term process stability.
Copper sulphate available from general chemical suppliers is often produced for agricultural or industrial uses where plating purity requirements are not critical.
Our Purified Copper Sulphate is prepared specifically for electroforming and plating applications, providing a reliable foundation for controlled electrolyte formulation.
Typical Applications
-
Copper electroforming
-
Acid copper plating systems
-
Additive system development and testing
-
Controlled plating trials and process optimisation
