Removes oxides and patinas from non-ferrous metals to provide an active surface for electoplating.

Can also be used as a pre-dip for plating ferrous items such as steel.

Ideal as a micro-etchant for zinc to increase adhesion.

In both cases, power can be used (see under Tech Specs tab).

Can be used prior to brush gold plating on some stainless steels provided the gold plated layer is
no more than 0.5 micron.

HS Code: 3824 99 70

Activator being used to remove an oxide layer from nickel after chrome stripping.

Features Applications
Quickly removes the oxide layer on the surface of metal Very useful when preparing non-ferrous metals, iron and steel for plating, as these metals form oxide layers on their surfaces
Does not contain hydrochloric acid Does not stain work piece or organic coatings such as paint. A lot more safer to use.
Activates a wide range of metals including nickel No need to keep stock of different activators for different metals.
Separate tanks/beakers Avoid processing both ferrous and non-ferrous items through the same activating solution.
They must be kept separate as copper can immersion deposit on ferrous items causing poor adhesion.
