Notes:
- Our online calculator for Rhodium Tank Plating Solution is calibrated at the higher temperature
of 40 °C. If operating at 20 °C, you will need to double the time indicated by the calculator to
achieve the desired thickness.
- Cover the solution when not in use and if not using for a long period of time, store in a closed
container.
To prepare 1 litre of working solution from 800ml of Rhodium Tank Plating Solution (export outside UK and EU only)
1. Add 800ml of Rhodium Tank Plating Solution (export outside UK and EU only) to a 1 litre graduated beaker or measuring cylinder.
2. Measure 60 millilitre of Battery Acid (25 % – 35%) and add it to the measuring cylinder.
3. Make up to 1 litre with distilled or deionised water. See notes below
4. Add to plating beaker or store in original bottle.
To prepare 500ml of working solution from 400ml of Rhodium Tank Plating Solution (export outside UK and EU only)
1. Add 400ml of Rhodium Tank Plating Solution (export outside UK and EU only) to a 500ml graduated beaker or measuring cylinder.
2. Measure 30 millilitre of Battery Acid (25 % – 35%) and add it to the measuring cylinder.
3. Make up to 500ml with distilled or deionised water. See notes below
4. Add to plating beaker or store in original bottle.
To prepare 250ml of working solution from 200ml of Rhodium Tank Plating Solution (export outside UK and EU only)
1. Add 200ml of Rhodium Tank Plating Solution (export outside UK and EU only) to a 250ml graduated beaker or measuring cylinder.
2. Measure 15 millilitre of Battery Acid (25 % – 35%) and add it to the measuring cylinder.
3. Make up to 250ml with distilled or deionised water. See notes below
4. Add to plating beaker or store in original bottle.
Notes:
If Battery Acid is not available, please contact us with the percentage which
is available and we will advise on the addition accordingly.
Water for filling steam irons or water for topping up lead acid batteries can be used.
