You can use our Gold Whitener to bleach back our Gold Brush Plating Solution to create shades of gold ranging from 18 carat yellow gold to pale yellow and then on to the greyish shade commonly found in white gold alloys.

Gold Whitener can be used for pen and brush plating.

Please note that we recommend you use a new or relatively new swab with this product.

Can be mixed with our standard Gold Plating Solution (for brush plating) in varying ratios to give different shades of gold.
  • Bleaches back the shade of our standard gold solution to produce a finish that resembles most common 18ct gold shades
  • No need to buy another base plating solution – just mix it with our standard gold
You can add more Gold Whitener to lighten the shade further and add less to create a richer shade. You could start off at a 1-10 ratio and then increase the ratio of Gold Whitener if you want a paler shade of gold.

Notes:

  • We strongly advise against the use of stainless steel anodes for most of our plating processes.
  • Plating rates are calculated over a sample area which is permanently covered by swab.
  • Once mixed, use within 30 minutes.
  • Use a new or relatively new swab.
