Clear selection

We have formulated our Rhodium Brush Plating Solution with safety in mind by removing all the primary safety hazards usually associated with electroplating rhodium.

This solution quickly brush plates a bright layer of rhodium over most metals including sterling silver, gold and nickel making it particularly useful for electroplating jewellery and electronic components. As rhodium never tarnishes, it could also be considered as an alternative to chromium for bathroom fittings and other decorative applications.

Due to the non-corrosive nature of the solution, risk of damage to acid-sensitive gemstones is greatly reduced.

We recommend using our S-Type swabs for this process, though results using standard swabs have been satisfactory.

Available worldwide

Rhodium concentration: 5 grams per litre.

Voltage: 3 – 4.5 volts
Electrode: Platinum or carbon (platinum preferred)

HS Code: 3824 99 70

We used our rhodium brush plating solution to rhodium plate this silver ring with our battery operated rhodium pen plating kit.

Our MultiPlater is the ideal choice for powering your rhodium brush plating. This power source is designed and made by us at Spa Plating and is really straightforward to use. It can also be used if you decide to scale up to beaker or tank plating with rhodium.

Here is a video showing you how to use this solution with our battery powered plating pen;
